Welcome to Restaurant NJK – Helsinki’s most beautiful and maritime summer villa!
Built in 1900 on the island of Valkosaari, this charming villa-style restaurant is one of the city’s top venues for summer celebrations – and also Helsinki’s most popular crayfish restaurant. Open from May to September, Restaurant NJK hosts events of all sizes, from corporate parties and team days to weddings and other summer festivities.
Located in the corner of the villa building, the Bar Veranda is ideal for seated events of up to 48 guests. The space is well-suited for both meetings and dining. Large, bright windows and stunning sea views provide the perfect backdrop for any occasion. If needed, the Bar Veranda can be connected to the adjacent Main Hall. Meeting equipment can be arranged upon request.
Getting to the island is easy via ferry, which departs from the Valkosaari pier next to the Olympia Terminal in Helsinki’s South Harbour. The short boat ride adds a special touch to any summer celebration.

Private Events at NJK
Private events at Restaurant NJK are priced based on a sales guarantee. When the guarantee is met, no separate venue rental fee is charged. The sales guarantee includes all food and beverage orders placed in advance or during the event.
SALES GUARANTEE DETAILS
May–July (2 May – 31 July): €3,500
August–September (1 August – 22 September): €6,000
The amount of the sales guarantee depends on the date and duration of the event, the number of guests, and any additional services requested. The required guarantee may vary depending on the time of day and the season – contact us for a tailored quote for your event!
