Katajanokka Casino offers its stunning facilities for a variety of private events in a maritime and historical setting.
The Sea Hall is a beautiful and inviting space, ideal for larger celebrations. The hall has hosted weddings for around 100 guests, gala dinners, and Christmas parties. Located on the first floor of the Casino, the Sea Hall has direct access to the restaurant’s terrace and the magnificent waterfront garden.
Events held in the first-floor spaces of Katajanokka Casino are served by the lobby bar at the entrance level. For all events organized at the Casino, a cloakroom service is available in the restaurant.
The original casino building was likely completed in 1913 for Russian officers. From the very beginning, the officers’ casino was the venue for splendid and attention-grabbing parties. Billiards, novuss (a type of disc game), and card games were also played at the Casino. In March 1917, when the Russian Revolution broke out, Russian sailors stationed in Helsinki took over the officers’ club. The Casino was transferred for use by Finnish officers in 1919. After the wars, the building underwent extensive renovation.
Today, Restaurant Katajanokka Casino offers a wide range of meeting and event services in elegant and historic surroundings. The restaurant represents Scandinavian-French cuisine, aiming to combine tradition with modern tastes.

Private events held in the Sea Hall are priced with a sales guarantee, which consists of pre-ordered food and beverage services added to a single bill. When the sales guarantee is met, no separate venue rental fee is charged.
