Welcome to Restaurant NJK – Helsinki’s most beautiful and maritime summer villa!
Located on the island of Valkosaari, this villa-style restaurant was built in 1900 and is one of the top venues for summer celebrations – it’s also the city’s most popular crayfish restaurant. Open from May to September, Restaurant NJK is the perfect setting for a wide range of summer events, from corporate gatherings to weddings.
The Main Hall is the largest of the individual spaces and can host seated events for up to 160 guests. This grand, spacious, and high-ceilinged room acts as the central area of the venue, with stunning panoramic views over Helsinki through its large windows. If needed, the hall can be extended to include the verandas that wrap around the villa.
Getting to Valkosaari is easy with the ferry connection departing right next to the Olympia Terminal in Helsinki’s South Harbour. The short boat ride is a charming addition to any summer celebration.

Private Events at NJK
Private events at Restaurant NJK are priced based on a sales guarantee. When the sales guarantee is met, no separate venue rental fee is charged. The sales guarantee includes all food and beverage orders placed in advance or during the event.
SALES GUARANTEE DETAILS
May–July (2 May – 31 July): €7,000
August–September (1 August – 22 September): €15,000
Private bookings of the Main Hall always include exclusive use of the Bar Veranda.
The sales guarantee depends on the date and duration of the event, as well as the number of guests and any additional services requested. The required amount may vary depending on the time of day and season — contact us for a tailored quote for your event!
