Welcome to Restaurant NJK – Helsinki’s most beautiful and maritime summer villa!
Built in 1900 on the island of Valkosaari, this villa-style restaurant is one of the best venues for summer celebrations and is known as the city’s most popular crayfish restaurant. Open from May to September, Restaurant NJK is ideal for hosting corporate events, team days, weddings, and all kinds of summer festivities.
The south veranda can accommodate dining events for up to 90 guests. From the large windows, you can admire passing cruise ships and enjoy stunning views toward the southern archipelago, including Luoto and Suomenlinna, as well as the South Harbour and Kaivopuisto. The skilled staff of Restaurant NJK will tailor the catering to match your wishes and needs.
Getting to the island is easy by ferry, which departs from the Valkosaari pier right next to the Olympia Terminal in South Harbour. The short boat ride is a delightful addition to any summer celebration.

Private Events at NJK
Private events held at Restaurant NJK are priced with a sales guarantee. When the guarantee is met, no separate venue rental fee is charged. The sales guarantee includes all food and beverage orders placed in advance or during the event.
SALES GUARANTEE DETAILS
May–July (2.5. – 31.7.): €7,000
August–September (1.8. – 22.9.): €10,000
The sales guarantee depends not only on the date and duration of the event, but also on the number of guests and any additional services requested. The required sales guarantee may vary depending on the time of day and the season — so don’t hesitate to request a tailored quote for your event!
